what is perinatal health?
Perinatal health is directly related to womb health. The perinatal period is the period of time when you become pregnant and up to a year after giving birth. Oftentimes, perinatal health also supports the fertility journey.
At ALLORA, we recognize the gap in care when it comes to reproductive and maternal health and want to upstream efforts in supporting birthing people and women from a holistic lens. Through our various programming, we honor the womb and the power it holds.

monthly support group
Each month we host a 45-minute virtual perinatal support group designed to provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals with a womb, whether family planning, currently pregnant, or navigating postpartum. This guided support group is meant to build community through empowering and educational discussion topics (inspired by our Letters From A Doula Program) as well as organic questions from participants to ensure value to everyone in the group. Holistic offerings are also included in these sessions so you can leave the group with more peace and less stress.
In these sessions, we honor the following:
Guided By A Set Of Guidelines:
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We have established clear ground rules to foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment. These guidelines ensure that every participant feels respected, heard, and valued throughout their journey.
Confidentiality is Key:
What is shared in our group stays within our group. We emphasize the importance of confidentiality to create a space where you can freely express yourself without worry.
Active Listening & Respectful Communication:
Our community practices active listening and respectful communication. Everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts using "I" statements, promoting understanding and empathy.
Structured Sessions:
Each session follows a carefully crafted outline, covering various perinatal topics. We respect your time, starting and ending sessions promptly.
No-Fixing Zone:
This is a space for support, not solutions. While we encourage discussions about challenges, advice is given only when requested. Our focus is on empathy and understanding.
